Chalid Aziz adh-Dhakir ( Arabic خالد عزيز الذاكر, DMG Ḫalid ʿAzīz aḏ-Ḏākir , English transcription: Khaled Aziz al-Thaker ; * July 14, 1981 in Medina ) is a former Saudi Arabian soccer player . He won the Saudi Arabian championship five times and took part in the 2006 World Cup.

Career

Adh-Dhakir played for the Saudi Arabian capital club al-Hilal from 2000 to 2011 and won five national championship titles and seven cup wins with the club. In 2002 he won the Asian Cup Winners' Cup . He is considered a tough midfielder who risks a red card with his commitment even in important games.

In 2004 Chalid Aziz adh-Dhakir made his debut in the Saudi Arabian national team . He was a permanent member of the team in qualifying for the 2006 World Cup in Germany, where he was used six times. At the World Cup finals , he was used in all three games of his team.

In 2011 he left al-Hilal and switched to al-Shabab before joining al-Nasr . He ended his career in 2012.
