Bjørn Eidsvåg (born March 17, 1954 in Sauda ) is a Norwegian singer and composer . Since 1976 he has released 20 albums and received the Norwegian musician award Spellemannprisen four times (1990, 1997, 2002, 2006). He passed the theological exam in Oslo in 1980 .

Life

Bjørn Eidsvåg has been an artist since 1971. He is the author of many texts and melodies (around 300 titles up to 2004), all of which were released on CD . Bjørn Eidsvåg has also worked as a singer and lyricist in many other groups.

Bjørn Eidsvåg has been known throughout Norway since the CD Allemandsland was released in October 1993; This CD quickly sold over 60,000 copies. He was able to build on this success in 1995 with Landet lenger , which sold over 100,000 times. After an extensive tour and the release of another CD, Bjørn Eidsvåg is one of the most successful musicians in Norway. His CD "Tålt" sold over 200,000 copies. Since 1997 he has brought five albums and one single to number 1 on the charts in Norway.

In addition to his work as a musician, Bjørn Eidsvåg is also active in various organizations such as NOPA , GRAMO, and TONO and is a board member of the Norwegian Musicians' Association .
