Chamaephyte

Chamaephytes (Gr. Χαμαί chamaí = on earth (located)) are perennial plants according to the system of life forms according to Raunkiær , whose persistence organs ( renewal buds ) are below the mean snow depth of 50 cm and thus overwinter under the protection of a snow cover or other hygric ones or survive unfavorable thermal periods in the course of the year.
