Champost
Champost (also called mushroom soil or removed mushroom growing media ) is used in professional mushroom cultivation . In this substrate , mushrooms are grown under controlled climatic conditions . The substrate primarily serves as a moisture store.
The main component in substrate production is horse manure . Depending on the price level and regional availability, chicken manure, straw, lime and peat are mixed in. Per ton, Champost contains on average:
- 340 kg dry matter
- 200 kg of organic matter
- 45 kg of calcium
- 6.9 kg of nitrogen
- 4.1 kg of phosphate
- 9 kg of potassium
- 2.5 kg of magnesium
Regulations
In the sense of the Fertilizer Ordinance , Champost counts as manure (animal excrement), which means that the nitrogen it contains is to be counted towards the upper limit.
