Champvent (noble family)
The Lords of Champvent were a noble family who were wealthy in Vaud . The eponymous property, the Champvent estate , was located southwest of Lake Neuchâtel . They were a sideline of the Lords of Grandson , which was founded by Henri († 1261/64), a son of Ebals IV of Grandson. The Champvent provided two bishops from Lausanne. After their extinction, their estates fell to the Counts of Neuchâtel .
