Othon de Champvent
Othon de Champvent (* in the 13th century; † April 19, 1312 ) was Bishop of Lausanne from 1309 until his death .
Life
Othon came from the Lords of Champvent , a branch of the Barons of Grandson south-west of Lake Neuchâtel . He was the son of Henri, Lord of Champvent, his brother Guillaume de Champvent became Bishop of Lausanne in 1273. His older brother Pierre , like her cousin Otton de Grandson, made a career at the English court. Like his brothers Peter, Othon followed from Savoy to England and was in the service of King Henry III. He was the holder of benefices in England and France. Clement V consecrated him bishop of Lausanne in 1309. In 1311 he renewed the peace with Ludwig II of Savoy .
