Chanchal Lahiri
Chanchal Lahiri (born around 1979 ; died June 16, 2019 ), known by his stage name Jadugar Mandrake (Magician Mandrake), was an Indian magician. On June 16, 2019, he was tied up with steel chains in Kolkata for an escape trick and sunk by a ferry near Howrah Bridge in the Ganges . He disappeared. His body was found over 1 km downstream the following day. He had previously commented on his stunt : “If I manage to break free, it will be magical. If you can't do it, it's tragic. "
