Chang Ha-joon
Ha-Joon Chang ( kor. 장하준 , 張 夏 准 ; born October 7, 1963 in Seoul ) is a South Korean economist specializing in development policy .
Life
The heterodox economist attended school in his hometown Seoul and then began studying economics at Seoul National University in 1982 , which he continued at Cambridge University from 1986 . In 1992 he received his doctorate and has been teaching and researching at the Faculty of Economics there, since 2005 as Reader in the Political Economy of Development. Chang works as a consultant for many international organizations such as the UN , World Bank and Asian Development Bank .

- 2003: Gunnar Myrdal Prize of the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy for Kicking Away the Ladder
