The Chanin Building is a skyscraper in New York City . The building was named after the builder Irwin Chanin .

history

The Chanin Building was constructed from 1927 to 1929 on 42nd Street at the corner of Lexington Avenue . Since 1980, it has been listed as a monument on the National Register of Historic Places .
