The Chapman Point is a flat and rounded the Cape on the eastern end of Scar Inlet on the north side of Jason Peninsula on the Oscar-II. Coast of the West Antarctic Graham Lands .
It was mapped in 1955 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the cape in 1964 after the British geophysicist Sydney Chapman (1888-1970), Commission President of the International Geophysical Year (1957-1958).
