Charamadoye
Charamadoye was a king of Nobatia , the order 410 / 420 n. Chr ruled..
He is only known from an inscription that he had placed on the Mandulis temple in Kalabsha in Lower Nubia. It is the last known inscription in Meroitic . The content of the inscription is difficult to understand, but one can at least understand at the moment that Charamadoye called himself king - qore . Furthermore, a victory over a king Yismeniye is recorded. In this ruling, it may be the king of Blemmyes known as Isemne from other sources act.
The political situation in Nubia after the fall of the Meroitic Empire is still completely unexplained, but ancient sources know that the Blemmyes, who previously only ruled in the desert, managed to conquer sub-Nubian cities and build a kingdom in sub-Nubia. At the same time, a little to the south, probably as the successor state of the Meroites, the kingdom of Nobatia emerged , which apparently was in constant conflict with the Blemmyern.
