Charles Frazier (video artist)
Charles Frazier (* 1930 in Morris , Oklahoma ) is an American video artist .
life and work
Charles Frazier was born in Oklahoma in 1930 and trained as a war correspondent in the army from 1948 to 1949 , before studying with Disney animator Don Graham at the Chouinard Art Institute from 1952 to 1956. He was visiting lecturer in kinetic sculpture at the Center for Advanced Visual Studies and in 1969 teacher at the School of Visual Arts . From 1973 he worked with a Portapak video camera. Frazier lives in Venice , California .
Charles Frazier's contribution to documenta 6 in Kassel was the 1977 film Illuminati .
