Charles Thellusson

Charles Thellusson ( February 2, 1770 - November 2, 1815 ) was a British politician.

Life

Charles Thellusson was born in 1770 as the third son of the entrepreneur Peter Thellusson. The politicians Peter and George Woodford Thellusson were his brothers. He attended Harrow School . On January 15, 1795 he married Sabine Robarts, daughter of Abraham Robarts and niece of George Tierney . The marriage resulted in two sons and a daughter.

In the parliamentary elections in 1796, he ran in the constituency of Evesham and was elected to the House of Commons on June 6 . On July 12, 1802 he was re-elected. In the parliamentary elections in 1806, he decided not to run again. In 1810 he withdrew from business life in London. Thellusson lived the rest of his life in Brodsworth , where he owned lands.
