Charmaine Craig (born October 1970 ) is an American film actress and writer .

Life

Youth and Studies

The daughter of a Burmese by the people of Karen and a US American grew up in Santa Monica , California and enrolled in 1989 at Harvard University , where she theology and literature studied and graduated with honors.

Acting work

Between 1994 and 1996 she was active as a film actress. In her film debut she played the leading female role as Indian Lily Joseph in the feature film "Wolfsblut 2 - The Secret of the White Wolf" (Original: White Fang 2: Myth of the White Wolf , USA 1994). She then acted as Heather Haines in three episodes of the television series "Ausrechendet Alaska" ( Northern Exposure , USA 1994/95) and in a supporting role as a waitress in the film "Bulletproof" (USA 1996).

Writing

In 1996 she began studying writing at the University of California . Her first novel “The Good Men” was published in 2002. It is about the Cathars and was inspired by the question of how man can bring his carnal and spiritual nature into harmony; an ultimately unsolvable task from the author's point of view, which she also wants to confront her readers with.

Charmaine Craig lives in the coastal town of Laguna Beach with her husband Andrew Winer , author of the novels "The Color Midnight Made" and "The Marriage Artist" .
