The Cheka Monastery ( Tib. : 'Chad kha dgon ) is an in 1165 founded the monastery Kadam -Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism . It is located in Zhaxigang 扎西 岗乡 Township in Maizhokunggar (Meldro Gongkar) County, Lhasa . The monastery was founded by Chekawa Yeshe Dorje ( Tib . : 'chad ka pa ye shes rdo rje ; * 1101 ; † 1175 ), Chekawa for short, the important clergyman of the Kadam tradition.

The monastery has been on the list of monuments of the Tibet Autonomous Region since 2009 .
