Se Chilbupa Chökyi Gyeltshen

Se Chilbupa Chökyi Gyeltshen ( se spyil bu pa chos kyi rgyal mtshan ; * 1121 ; † 1189 ) was a clergyman of the Kadam tradition of Tibetan Buddhism . He was a main student of Chekawas (1101–1175), whose texts for training the mind ( blo sbyong ) he summarized in seven points.

After Chekawa's death, he was appointed abbot of the Cheka Monastery ( 'chad kha dgon ) and, as Chekawa had prophesied, founded the New Cheka Monastery ( ' chad kha gsar ma ) in 1164 : the Chilbu Monastery ( spyil bu ) in Ngamring .
