Chemical Reviews , abbreviated when cited Chem. Rev. , is a monthly, peer-reviewed journal . The American Chemical Society (ACS) is the publisher of the Chemical Reviews , which has been published since 1900 .

As the name of the journal suggests, it publishes extensive reviews of an entire field of chemistry and not original articles. The editions are mostly dedicated to key topics to which the individual reviews fit thematically.
