Chemical laboratory junior worker is an apprenticeship in the chemical industry .

Tasks and tools

Young chemical laboratory workers are involved in the production of basic chemical substances. When developing various products, they deal with the implementation of tests and appropriate controls. The other tasks are the documentation and interpretation of the results.

Young chemical laboratories mainly use centrifuges , presses , pumps, pressure vessels, precision balances and distillation equipment in their work. You are also responsible for the adjustment and maintenance of the equipment.

The two-year training takes place partly in the vocational school and partly in a training company .

There are no school requirements, but most companies in industry only employ trainees with an intermediate level of education . Anyone who wants to become a junior chemistry laboratory worker should above all enjoy experimenting and be interested in scientific work and chemical processes.
