The Dmitri Mendeleev Chemical and Technical University of Russia (Russian Российский химико-технологический университет имени Д.И. Менделееева) is a state university in Moscow and Novomoskov . About 10,500 students study at it.

history

Mendeleev University was founded in 1898 as a technical school. At the end of the Soviet Union, it had the status of a chemical-technological institute, which in fact corresponded to the status of a technical university with the right to award doctorates. In 1992 it was changed or renamed the university.
