Chen Po-wei ( Chinese  陳柏 惟 , Pinyin Chén Bówéi ; born July 10, 1985 in Kaohsiung ), nickname 3Q (spoken: san kiu), is a Taiwanese filmmaker, presenter and politician of the Taiwan State Education Party (TSP). In the 2020 general election , he was elected as the first and so far only candidate of his party to the Taiwanese parliament, the Legislative Yuan .

Life

Before entering politics, Chen worked in film post-production and as a presenter of television programs and, according to his own statements, has been involved in more than 20 films in various functions, including the productions KANO (2014) and Cold War 2 (2016). In 2018 he was executive producer of the animated film On Happiness Road (幸福 路上). In 2017/2018 he worked as a producer and presenter on the popular TV program The Taiwan Academy - hello boss (民 視 台灣 學堂 頭 家 你好) of the Formosa TV channel.

Chen, who is interested in politics, joined the Taiwan State Education Party in late 2017, became a party spokesman and ran unsuccessfully for membership of the Kaohsiung City Council in 2018. He then supported a movement for the recall of Mayor Han Kuo-yu . On January 11, 2020, Chen took part in the election for the Legislative Yuan, triumphing in constituency 2 of Taichung City , making him the first candidate of his party in the Taiwanese parliament.
