Nokar Hussain (born October 10, 1987 ) is a Pakistani athlete who competes in both the 400-meter run and the 400-meter hurdles .

Athletic career

Nokar Hussain gained his first international experience at the South Asian Games 2016 in Guwahati , where he finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 52.10 s and with the Pakistani 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 14.82 min won the bronze medal behind the teams from India and Sri Lanka. Shortly thereafter, he took part in the 400-meter Asian Indoor Championships in Doha and was eliminated there with 49.38 s in the first round. The following year he finished fifth in the hurdles at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku in 51.29 s and won the silver medal behind Turkey in the 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 07.62 min and was with of the 4 x 100 meter relay disqualified in the final run. With the 4 x 400 meter relay, he also took part in the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar , where he finished seventh in 3: 11.42 minutes. He then won the relay at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat in 3: 11.40 min and was eliminated over 400 meters with 48.77 s in the semifinals. In 2018 he retired from the Asian Indoor Championships in Tehran with 49.10 s in the preliminary round and finished fifth with the relay in 3: 16.53 min. In August he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and reached the semi-finals in the hurdles, in which he did not start. In 2019 he finished fourth at the South Asian Games in Kathmandu over 400 meters in 47.73 s and won the bronze medal with the relay again behind Sri Lanka and India.

In 2011 and 2013 Hussain became Pakistani champion in the 400-meter hurdles and in 2017 in the 400-meter run and in the 4-by-400-meter relay.
