Chen Yujiao

Chen Yujiao陈 与 郊 (* 1544; † 1611) from Haining , Zhejiang, was a chuanqi and zaju theater poet of the late Ming Dynasty , who also wrote many other poems, articles and theater reviews. His piece Zhaojun chusai昭君 出塞 (Zhaojun travels across the border) about the fate of Wang Zhaojun is considered his best work.

He is considered to be the editor of the Gu mingjia zaju古 名家 杂剧 collection with pieces from the yuan and ming periods.

His dramas were included in the collections ( congshu ) Sheng Ming zaju盛 明 杂剧 and Guben xiqu congkan erji 古 本 戏曲 丛刊 二 集.
