The Chenal Ouest ( French for West Channel ) is a strait in the Géologie archipelago off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It separates the Pétrel Island in the east from Les Sept-Îles in the west.
French scientists named them after their location relative to the Pétrel Island.
