District Pettau

The Pettau district ( Slovene : okraj Ptuj ) was a political district in the Crown Land of Styria . The district comprised the areas of the judicial districts of Pettau , Friedau and Rohitsch in the southeast of Lower Styria .

The area was added to Yugoslavia after the First World War under the Treaty of Saint-Germain in 1919 and has been part of the Republic of Slovenia since 1991 .

The Pettau district around the Drava area is located in the Pannonian part of Slovenia.

The district of Pettau was formed in the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration in 1868.
