The judicial district of Pettau ( Slovene : sodni okraj Ptuj ) was a judicial district in the federal state of Styria, which was subordinate to the district court of Pettau . It comprised parts of the political district of Pettau (Okraj Ptuj) and was added to the state of Yugoslavia in 1919 .

history

The judicial district of Pettau was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the 78 communities of Destinzen , Dollena , Dollitschen , Drafzen , Dragovitsch , Dreifaltigkeit , Formin , Gajofzen , Gorenzenberg , Gradisch , Großokitsch , Großwarnitza , Gruschkaberg , Gruschkowetz , Haidin , Hirschdorf , Janschendorf , Jurovetz , Juwanzen , Kanischa , Kartschowina , Kitzerberg , flaps village , Kleindorf , Lanzendorf , Lichtenegg , Lotschitschdorf , Maria Neustift , Meretinzen , Mesgovetz , Monsberg , Mosch whole , Neukirchen , Oberpristova , Patzing , Perwenzen , Pettau , Pichelsdorf , Pobresch , Podwinzen , Pollenschagg , Puchdorf , Ragosnitz , Rann , Sabofzen , Sagovetz , Sakuschagg , Sankt Andrae , S. The judicial district of Pettau formed in the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868 together with the judicial districts Friedau (Ormož) and Rohitsch (Rogatec) the district Pettau (Ptuj).

The judicial district of Pettau had a population of 51,117 present in 1890, with 47,107 people giving Slovene and 3,095 people German as the colloquial language.

In 1910 53,645 people were expelled from the judicial district, of whom 47,478 spoke Slovene (88.9%) and 5,147 German (9.6%).

Due to the border provisions of the Treaty of Saint-Germain concluded on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district was completely added to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
