District Court Murau

The judicial district of Murau is the district court Murau under standing judicial district in the state of Styria . In terms of area, it is the second largest judicial district in Styria.

history

The judicial district of Murau was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the 19 communities Einach , Falkendorf , Frojach , Krakaudorf , Krakauhintermühlen , Krakauschatten , Laßnitz , Lorenzen , Murau , Predlitz , Ranten , Rinegg , Schöder , Seebach , St. Ruprecht , Stadl , Stallbaum , Tratten and Triebendorf .

In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district of Murau formed the district of Murau together with the judicial districts of Neumarkt and Oberwölz .

The Murau district was spared from the National Socialist administrative changes, and the size of the Murau judicial district with 734.03 km² between 1849 and 2001 does not change either.

It was only in the course of the amalgamation of several judicial districts by the “District Courts Ordinance Styria” of the federal government that the neighboring judicial districts of Neumarkt in Styria and Oberwölz were dissolved. As a result, on July 1, 2002, the Murau judicial district took over the 13 municipalities of Dürnstein in Styria , Kulm am Zirbitz , Mariahof , Mühlen , Neumarkt in Styria , Perchau am Sattel , Sankt Blasen , Sankt Lambrecht , Sankt Lorenzen bei from the Neumarkt in Steiermark judicial district Scheifling , Sankt Marein bei Neumarkt , Scheifling , Teufenbach and Zeutschach as well as the six communities Niederwölz , Oberwölz Stadt , Oberwölz area , St. Peter am Kammersberg , Schönberg-Lachtal and Winklern bei Oberwölz from the judicial district of Oberwölz.

With effect from January 1, 2015, the judicial district was redefined in the "District Courts Ordinance Styria 2015" due to the changes in the framework of the municipal structural reform in Styria .
