Sankt Blasen is a formerly independent municipality with 555 inhabitants (as of October 31, 2013) in the judicial district or district of Murau in Styria . On January 1, 2015, it was merged with the Sankt Lambrecht community as part of the structural reform of the municipality in Styria . The new community is called "Sankt Lambrecht".

Geographical location
Sankt Blasen is located in the Styrian-Carinthian border mountains. The main settlement area of the municipality is in the eastern municipality in the so-called Thajagraben west of the Neumarkter saddle .

The only cadastral parish and locality of the parish is Sankt Blasen.
history
The establishment of the political community of St. blisters took place in 1849/50. From 1945 to 1951 the Sankt Lambrecht trolleybus ran through the town.
population
According to the results of the census in 2001, Sankt Blasen had 686 inhabitants. Almost all of the residents (98.7%) have Austrian citizenship and the vast majority (98.1%) belong to the Roman Catholic Church .
