Walter Brunner (historian)

Walter Brunner (born December 1, 1940 in Pöls , Styria ) is a retired Austrian archivist and regional historian .

Life

Walter Brunner studied history and English at the universities of Graz and Vienna . From 1969 he worked at the Steiermärkisches Landesarchiv , from 1996 as its director.

In 1993 he completed his habilitation in Austrian history at the University of Graz.
