Conrad Heberling

Conrad Heberling (born August 24, 1954 in Brantford , Ontario, Canada ) is an Austrian - Canadian media manager and university professor .

Life

Heberling studied communication science at the University of Vienna and Southern Illinois University . Initially he worked in the field of microelectronics as Director Corporate Communications, Marketing, Investor Relations and company spokesman at ams AG . In 1998 he switched to the media industry and until 2005 was Director of Marketing, Corporate Communications and New Business at RTL II Munich and Managing Director of the advertising marketing subsidiary El Cartel Media.

This was followed by international positions as managing director of the Dori Media Group in Zurich. In Vienna he founded in 2007 together with BURDA the transmitter Austria 9 , of the 2012 ProSiebenSat.1 was sold group. Until 2015 he was CEO of the financial and economic broadcaster DAF German Investor Television .

From 2001 to 2009, Heberling was a lecturer for media economics at the University of Kassel (Institute for Educational Sciences in the Faculty of Human Sciences). Today he teaches media economics and business administration a . a. at the Film University Babelsberg , the University of Popular Arts (hdpk) and at the Erich Pommer Institute . He is also a board member at the Academy for New Media in Kulmbach .

His teaching and research interests include audience and target group research, cross-media management, new digital business models and digital communication as well as transformation.
