The judicial district Friedau ( Slovene : sodni okraj Ormož ) was a judicial district in the federal state of Styria which was subordinate to the Friedau District Court . It comprised parts of the political district of Pettau (Okraj Ptuj) and was added to the state of Yugoslavia in 1919 .

history

The Friedau judicial district was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the 34 communities Adrianzen , Frankofzen , Friedau , Hardegg , Hermanetz , Jastrovetz , Kaag , Koratschitz , Kulmberg , Lachonetz , Littenberg , Malavetz , Michalofzen , Michovetz , Obrisch , Podorzen , Pollanzen , Polstrau , Puschendorf , Rundschen , Safzen , Samuschen , Schalofzen , Scharding , Scherovinzen , Sodinetz , St. Nikolai , Tergovitsch , Ternofzen , Vellitschan , Vitschanetz , Vittan , Wrebronig and Zwetkofzen .

The judicial district Friedau thus included the easternmost part of Lower Styria. He made political from judicial administration from 1868 together with the course of the separation jurisdictions Ptuj (Ptuj) and Rohitsch (Rogatec) the district Ptuj (Ptuj).

The Friedau judicial district had a population of 19,497 present in 1890, with 18,409 people giving Slovene and 583 people German as the colloquial language.

In 1910, 20,792 people were expelled from the judicial district, of whom 19,145 spoke Slovene (94.4%) and 877 German (4.2%).

Due to the border provisions of the Treaty of Saint-Germain concluded on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district was completely added to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
