The judicial district Oberradkersburg ( Slovene : sodni okraj Gornja Radgona ) was a judicial district subordinate to the district court Oberradkersburg in the then Duchy of Styria . It comprised parts of the political district of Luttenberg (Okraj Ljutomer) and was added to the state of Yugoslavia in 1919 .

history

The judicial district of Oberradkersburg was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission adopted in 1849 and originally comprised the 24 communities Eibersdorf , Eich and Mauthdorf , Galluschag , Grabanoschen , Kapellenberg , Kerschbach , Koslafzen , Kralofzen , Murberg-Neusatz , Nussdorf , Oberradkersburg , Pöllitschbaerg , Radein , Regau , Richterofzen , Schrottendorf , St. Georgen , Stainzthal , Stanetinzen , Sulzdorf , Terwegofzen , Unteriswanzen , Weigelsberg and Woritschan .

The judicial district of Oberradkersburg formed the district of Oberradkersburg together with the judicial districts of Luttenberg (Ljutomer) as part of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868 .

population

The judicial district of Oberradkersburg had a population of 12,863 present in 1890, with 12,204 people giving Slovene and 410 people German as the colloquial language.

In 1910, 12,840 people were expelled from the judicial district, of which 11,629 spoke Slovenian (90.6%) and 827 German (6.4%). Almost two thirds of the German-speaking residents lived in Oberradkersburg, where they made up the majority with 60% of the population, while a larger number of German-speakers only lived in Kerschbach (Črešnjovci) and Nussdorf (Orehovci), where German-speaking people 29% and 29% respectively 14% of the population.

Today the former area of ​​the judicial district is mainly divided between the large municipalities of Gornja Radgona , Radenci and Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici .
