The judicial district Windischfeistritz ( Slovenian : sodni okraj Slovenska Bistrica ) was a judicial district in the federal state of Styria which was subordinate to the district court Windischfeistritz . It comprised parts of the political district of Marburg ( Okraj Maribor ) and was added to the state of Yugoslavia in 1919 .

history

The judicial district Windischfeistritz was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission decided in 1849 and originally comprised the 45 communities of Alpen , Buchberg , Deschno , Freiheim , Gabernigg , Güßkübl , Hölldorf , Hoschnitz , Hrastowetz , Jellovetz , Kalsche , Kerschbach , Kohlberg , Krottendorf , Laporje , Luxendorf , Modrasche , Oberfeistritz , Oberloßnitz , Obernau , Oberpulsgau , Petschke , Pirkdorf , Pöltschach , Pokosche , Pretresch , Rittersberg , Schentovetz , Schmeretzen , Schmidsberg , St. Anna , St. Martin , St. Ulrich , Stanosco , Stattenberg , Stoppno , Studenitz , Tainach , Unterlosnitz , Unterneudorf , Unterpulsgau , Verholle , Windisch Feistritz , Woitina and brick town .

The judicial district of Windischfeistritz formed the district of Marburg ( Okraj Maribor ) in the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868 together with the judicial districts of Marburg (Maribor), without the city of Marburg and St.Leonhard in Windischbühel (Sveti Lenart v Slovenskih Goricah ) .

Due to the border provisions of the Treaty of Saint-Germain concluded on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district was completely added to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

The judicial district of Windischfeistritz had a population of 19,772 present in 1890, with 17,290 people giving Slovene and 2342 people German as the colloquial language.

In 1910, 19,873 people were expelled from the judicial district, of whom 17,374 spoke Slovene (87.4%) and 2,283 German (11.5%).

In 1910 there was a German-speaking majority in the municipalities of Hölldorf (Slovenian: Pekel , today part of the city of Marburg / Maribor ) and Windischfeistritz (Slovenska Bistrica) with 73.9% and 57.7%, respectively, plus strong German-speaking minorities in Unterpulsgau (Spodnja Polskava) and Oberfeistritz (Zgornja Bistrica) with 28.2% and 44.2% respectively.
