The judicial district of Marburg ( Slovene : sodni okraj Maribor ) was a judicial district in the Crown Land of Styria, which was subordinate to the Marburg District Court . It included parts of the political district of Marburg ( Okraj Maribor ) and was largely added to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1919 .

history

In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district of Marburg, together with the judicial districts of Slovenska Bistrica (Windischfeistritz) and St. Leonhard in Windischbühel (Sveti Lenart v Slovenskih Goricah), but without the city of Marburg itself, formed the district of Marburg ( Okraj Maribor ).

Due to the border regulations of the Treaty of Saint-Germain , which was concluded on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district was largely added to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

In 1910 84,908 people were expelled from the judicial district, of whom 44,596 spoke Slovene (52.5%) and 38,075 German (44.8%). Of the German-speaking population, 22,653 people lived in the city of Marburg, where they made up 80.9% of the population. The German-speaking population also made up the absolute majority in Brunndorf, Kartschowin, Leitersberg, Pobersch, Rothwein, Sankt Lorenzen ob Marburg, Sulzthal and Thesen.
