The judicial district of Vorau was a judicial district in the federal state of Styria which was subordinate to the district court of Vorau . The judicial district comprised the northwestern part of the political district Hartberg and was added to the judicial district Hartberg in 1976 .

history

The judicial district of Vorau was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the 14 communities Kathrein , Kleinschlag , Mönichwald , Puchegg , Ratten , Reinberg , Rettenegg , Riegersbach , Schachen , St. Jakob , Vorau , Vornholz , Waldbach and Wenigzell .

The judicial district Vorau formed during the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868 together with the jurisdictions Hartberg , Friedberg and Pöllau to Hartberg .

The first change of area occurred in 1875, when the local parishes of Ratten, Rettenegg and St. Kathrein were removed from the district of the Vorau district court and added to the district of the Birkfeld district court in Styria in the Weiz district.

On January 1, 1948, parts of the municipality of Sankt Jakob im Walde were also ceded to the judicial district of Birkfeld in the district of Weiz , while parts of the municipality of Gräflerviertl in the judicial district of Hartberg came to the judicial district of Vorau.

After the federal government had decided by ordinance to dissolve the judicial districts of Vorau, Friedberg and Pöllau, the judicial district of Vorau was added to the judicial district of Hartberg on October 1, 1976.

On July 1, 2013, the Hartberg judicial district was again dissolved and the communities assigned to the Fürstenfeld judicial district.

Courthouse

At the time of its dissolution, the court district comprised the ten communities of Eichberg , Mönichwald , Puchegg , Riegersberg , Sankt Jakob im Walde , Schachen bei Vorau , Vorau , Vornholz , Waldbach and Wenigzell .
