The Regional Court for Civil Law Matters Graz (short: LGZ Graz ) is one of 20 regional courts in Austria and is responsible for civil law matters in southern Styria. The jurisdiction of the Graz Regional Court for Civil Law Matters includes legal matters with a value in dispute of more than 15,000 euros or at least official liability cases, labor and social law matters, insolvency matters and business register matters. However, certain legal cases, regardless of the amount in dispute, are excluded from jurisdiction (e.g. family law matters). In addition, it is responsible in the 2nd instance for dealing with appeals against civil law decisions of the district courts.
The court of appeal for decisions of the Graz Regional Court for Civil Law Matters is the Graz Higher Regional Court .
The Graz Regional Court for Civil Law Matters is located in the Marburger Kai 49 building, which also houses the Graz Higher Regional Court and the Graz Higher Public Prosecutor's Office.
