In the course of the amalgamation of several judicial districts, the Kirchbach judicial districts in Styria and Fehring were dissolved on October 1, 1976 and merged with the Feldbach judicial district. As part of the so-called reform partnership between the SPÖ and ÖVP, the judicial district or political district of Feldbach will form the district of Southeast Styria together with the judicial district or district of Radkersburg from 2013 .
