The judicial district of Oberburg ( Slovene : sodni okraj Gornji Grad ) was a judicial district in the state of Styria, which was subordinate to the Oberburg District Court . It comprised parts of the political district of Cilli (Celje) and was added to the state of Yugoslavia in 1919 .

history

The judicial district of Oberburg was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the eight communities Kokarje (Altenburg), Laufen , Leutsch , Neustift , Oberburg , Praßberg , Rietz and Sulzbach . In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district of Oberburg together with the judicial districts of Cilli , Gonobitz , Franz , Sankt Marein bei Erlachstein and Tüffer formed the district of Cilli .

The judicial district had a population of 15,394 present in 1890, with 15,371 people citing Slovene and 18 people using German as the colloquial language. In 1910, 15,296 people were expelled from the judicial district, of whom 15,217 spoke Slovene (99.5%) and 56 German (0.4%).

Due to the border regulations of the Treaty of Saint-Germain , which was concluded on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district of Oberburg was completely added to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

In 1910, shortly before its dissolution, the Oberburg court district comprised the ten municipalities Bočna (Wotschna), Gornji Grad (Oberburg), Kokarje (Altenburg), Ljubo (Laufen), Luče (Leutsch), Mozirje Trg (Praßberg), Nova Štifta (Neustift) ), Rečica (Rietz) and Solčava (Sulzbach).
