Hans-Georg Dorendorf

Hans-Georg Dorendorf (born July 3, 1942 in Halle (Saale) , † November 23, 1998 ibid) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Dorendorf attended elementary school and the Johann-Gottfried-Herder-Gymnasium in Halle. After an apprenticeship as a chef, he attended the college for gastronomy and the commercial college in Leipzig , where he earned the title of graduate economist. In 1986 the doctorate followed. He worked as a research assistant at the District Hygiene Institute in Halle and at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management , and in 1991 he became an employee of the Treuhand in Halle.

Dorendorf joined the GDR CDU in 1964 . In 1990 he was elected to the city council in Halle. In the same year he was a member of the last People's Chamber and the German Bundestag . From 1995 until his death he was chairman of the CDU local association Halle-Ost.

Dorendorf left behind his wife and a child.
