The judicial district of Leoben is a judicial district in the federal state of Styria, which is subordinate to the district court of Leoben .

history

The judicial district of Leoben was created by a proclamation of the State Court Introductory Commission passed in 1849 and originally comprised the 14 communities Donawitz , Gai , Göß , Hafning , Kraubath , Leoben , Niklasdorf , Proleb , St. Michael , St. Peter , St. Stefan , Traboch , Trofaiach and Vordernberg .

In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district of Leoben, together with the judicial districts of Eisenerz and Mautern, formed the district of Leoben .

After the First World War, the judicial district of Mautern was dissolved on June 1, 1923 and the communities of Kallwang , Kammern , Mautern Umgebung and Wald were assigned to the judicial district of Leoben.

On July 1, 2002 the District Court of Eisenerz was dissolved, whereby the communities Eisenerz , Hieflau and Radmer fell to the judicial district of Leoben.

With effect from January 1, 2015, the judicial district was redefined in the "District Courts Ordinance Styria 2015" due to the changes in the framework of the municipal structural reform in Styria . In the course of this, he gave the area of the former municipality of Hieflau to the judicial district of Liezen .
