The judicial district Mureck was the District Court Mureck under standing judicial district in the state of Styria . The judicial district comprised the south-western part of the political district of Radkersburg and was added to the judicial district of Bad Radkersburg in 2002 .

The judicial district of Mureck formed the district of Radkersburg together with the judicial district of Radkersburg as part of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868 .

In 1910 the judicial district covered 291.26 km².

The area was reduced to 217.41 km² after the First World War, as the parts of the area south of the Mur had to be ceded to the newly formed Kingdom of Yugoslavia. These were the communities Absberg, Frattenberg, Frattendorf, Graben, Lugatz, Nassau, Proskersdorf, Rosengrund, Roßhof, Seibersdorf, Stanz, Süßenbach, Trassenberg, Wiesenbach and Völling.

As a result of minor border changes, the area of ​​the judicial district decreased to 210.04 km² by 1951 and increased again to 216.63 km² by 1991.

The Mureck judicial district was dissolved by the Federal Government's “District Courts Ordinance” on July 1, 2002 and the 13 municipalities of the judicial district were added to the Bad Radkersburg judicial district.
