coat of arms

AUT Sankt Peter am Ottersbach COA.jpg

St. Peter am Ottersbach was awarded a municipal coat of arms by the Styrian state government on August 1st, 1974. Josef Wiedner designed the coat of arms. The talking coat of arms indicates the parish saint and place-name giver ( St. Peter ) through the golden key and indicates the Ottersbach through the wavy bar. At the same time as the coat of arms was awarded, the municipality of Sankt Peter am Ottersbach was given the right to use the designation “market municipality”.

Due to the amalgamation of the municipalities, the coat of arms lost its official validity on January 1st, 2015. The re-award took place with effect from December 1, 2015.
The new blazon reads:

"In the green shield a crossed golden pair of keys over a lowered, narrow silver wavy bar."
