Weitersfeld an der Mur is a village or the cadastral community of Weitersfeld in the community of Straß in Styria .
It was an independent municipality until 1969 and belonged to the Murfeld municipality, which was dissolved in 2020 .
Once there was a moated castle in Weitersfeld, which was destroyed in the 16th century.
Most of the population is divided between the village and Dornhof districts, and there are also numerous isolated houses. This is explained by the once large proportion of self-sufficient people (farmers).
Every year shortly before Christmas, a route of the Murfeld Advent run leads through Weitersfeld.
