Edelsbach bei Feldbach is a municipality with 1350 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the south-east of Styria in the district of Southeast Styria .

Geographical location

Edelsbach bei Feldbach is located approx. 32 km east of Graz and approx. 5 km northwest of the district capital Feldbach in the eastern Styrian hill country .

The municipality includes the following three localities (population in brackets as of January 1, 2020):

The community consists of the cadastral communities Edelsbach, Kaag and Rohr.

On January 1, 1968, the municipality of Rohr an der Raab was merged with Edelsbach near Feldbach.

history

Until 2006, there was a private light rail system in the community , which Valdo Longo first built in Mooskirchen and then brought to Edelsbach. It was sold to Stainz in 2006 after his death.
