Studenzen is a former municipality with 686 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the district of Südoststeiermark , Styria , Austria . As part of the municipal structural reform in Styria , it has been merged with the municipalities of Fladnitz im Raabtal , Oberdorf am Hochegg and Kirchberg an der Raab since 2015 ; the new municipality continues the name Kirchberg an der Raab. The basis for this is the Styrian Municipal Structural Reform Act - StGsrG.

Geographical location
Studenzen is located about 26 km east of Graz and about 10 km northwest of the district capital Feldbach in the Eastern Styrian hill country . Studenzen is the gateway to volcanic land .

The community consisted of the only cadastral parish of Studenzen.

The place name comes from the Slavic studenica = "Kaltenbach".

The municipal council consists of nine members until the end of 2014 and has consisted of mandates from the following parties since the municipal council election in 2010 :

coat of arms
The municipal coat of arms was awarded with effect from April 1, 2001. Due to the amalgamation of the municipalities, this lost its official validity on January 1, 2015.
The blazon (description of the coat of arms) read:
- "A shield of red and blue, from a silver leafed and fertilized, double-curved elm branch, diagonally square, in it a silver fountain in blue on the right in a plan view, on the left a silver millstone."
