Alfons Molitor

Alfons Molitor (born October 24, 1940 in Bingen am Rhein ; † May 12, 2011 in Gau-Algesheim ) was a German writer who made his skills of dialect poetry , journalistic reporting and the Rhine-Hessian Fassenacht available.

Having grown up in Ockenheim and Gau-Algesheim , Alfons Molitor attended the commercial school in Mainz after eight years of elementary school and in the spring of 1960 passed the commercial assistant examination at the Chamber of Commerce in Bingen. Various professional positions finally took him to the Mainz-Bingen district , where he worked as an administrative employee in public relations and until his retirement in 2004 as a cultural representative.

Literary activities

Alfons Molitor practiced his literary and journalistic talents at home early on and developed this as a freelancer for professional magazines such as the Landbote or Der Deutsche Weinbau , regional radio stations and the Allgemeine Zeitung .

His main interest was the preservation and maintenance of local customs , literary gatherings and the diversity of club life, which seeks to translate its traditions into new forms.
