Cvetkovci

Cvetkovci is a village in Slovenia with 460 inhabitants (2002) . It is located in Lower Styria and belongs to the Ormož municipality . The place originally called Maierhof was first mentioned under this name in 1320 .

In the area of ​​the village there are remains of a Roman road that led from Poetovio to Savaria ( Szombathely ). Today the village is located directly on the Ptuj –Ormož main road and borders the villages of Osluševci, Podgorci and Trgovišče. In the south it borders on the Republic of Croatia . Two rivers flow through the village, Pesnica and the Drava River . The village consists of five parts, namely the lower and upper village, Trnje, Dobrava and Otok.

The main occupation of the residents in the village is agriculture ; many residents work in the neighboring towns of Ormož and Ptuj.
