Destrnik ( German : Desternik , older also winter village ) is a village and municipality in northeastern Slovenia . It is located in the historical Spodnja Štajerska ( Lower Styria ) region and in the statistical region of Podravska .

The municipality of Destrnik is located in the Slovenske gorice ( Windische Bühel ) about 7.5 km north of Ptuj . It is traversed from northwest to south by the brook "Rogoznica" ( Ragosnitzbach ) and extends in the east to the valley of the Pesnica ( Pößnitz ). The main town is about 350  m. ü. A.
