Duplek ( German : Täubling ) is a municipality in the Podravska region in Slovenia .

Location and inhabitants

The total community, which consists of ten villages, has 6,726 people. The municipality is located 10 km southeast of Maribor on the northwestern edge of Slovenske Gorice and on the left bank of the Drava .

The municipality comprises 10 localities. The German exonyms in brackets date from the middle of the 19th century and are no longer used today. (Population figures as of January 1, 2016):
