Lovrenc na Pohorju ( German : Sankt Lorenzen am Bachern ) is a town and municipality in Slovenia in the historical Spodnja Štajerska ( Lower Styria ) and in the statistical region of Podravska .

geography

location

The municipality is located entirely in the hilly Pohorje , to the north the area reaches the Drava . The main town of the same name is located on an approximately 3 km² high plateau at 400 to 480  m above sea level. A , which is bounded by the two streams "Slepnica" ( Slebnitzbach ) and "Radoljna" ( Radlbach ).

According to the Austrian census of 1900, the German language was predominant in St. Lorenzen am Bachern.

Lovrenc is the seat of the metal processing company Struc, a tool and scythe production, wooden handles and agricultural machines.
