Chengde (district)

Chengde County ( Chinese 承德县 , Pinyin Chéngdé Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture-level city of Chengde (formerly: Jehol, Rehe 热河) in Hebei Province . The district of Chengde has an area of 3,990 km² and has 470,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large community of Xiabancheng (下板城镇).
